The Sigma Nu Educational Foundation will host Sold!...for Sigma Nu, its third silent and live auction, on July 3, 2010, in conjunction with the 64th Grand Chapter in Boston. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation, which underwrites the educational and leadership programs of the Fraternity.

Prior to Grand Chapter, chapters and alumni are encouraged to support this event through the donation of items to auction. Ideal donations include:

  • Frequent flyer miles / points
  • Vacation rentals
  • Sporting event tickets
  • Autographed memorabilia

Additionally, alumni living in the Boston area are encouraged to contribute items of local interest for those attendees who are from the area.

All contributions of auction items are tax-deductible to the declared value of the item. Those who win an auction item will receive a tax-deduction based on the difference of the declared value and winning bid amount.  For example, if a person wins the Sigma Nu Watch for $250, and the watch has a value of $200; the winning bidder will receive a $50 tax-deduction.. If the winning bid is less than the declared value, there is no tax deduction.

Those interested in donating a service, trip or other item in support of Sold!...for Sigma Nu should contact:

Foundation President Brad Hastings at 540.463.1869 Ext 800, brad.hastings@sigmanu.org

Theadfa Free Stuff

We strive to keep winwin apps free to use wherever possible. Most of our tools are completely free, including:

  • Unlimited surveys, with no limits on the number of questions or recipients.
  • Managing your online, live and silent auctions with winwin apps.
  • Attendee registration, online check-in and check-out, cue cards, bid sheets and auction grids for your real-world event.
  • Unlimited email to unlimited recipients—as long as it links back to a winwin app.
  • Customizable winwin "webstack" (a tiny little website you can use to promote your event, register attendees, and accept donations online).

Transaction Fees

If you make any sales (of auction items, for example) or accept donations, there is a 3.99% fee, plus $0.30 per transaction, for any sales that we process. (We do require that you use our credit card processing service for sales transactions.)

The Rules:

All of the following items will be closed
the evening prior to our Live and Silent Auction
(11:59 PM, July 2, 2010 - EST)
.

All items will continue to be auctioned at
Grand Chapter in Boston, Massachusetts during our event: SOLD!...For Sigma Nu

The winning online bidder of each item on July 2nd will be contacted of their amount and asked their highest bid amount they will incur during the live or silent auction.

The live and silent auction are scheduled for the
evening of July 3, 2010.

At both the live and silent auction, the highest bid amount will be represented by one of the Foundation's senior staff as a proxy throughout the event.  Of course, their bid amount will stay secret until the final gavel slam.

The online bid winner will find out that evening or next morning of their win/loss.

Thank you for your involvement and continued support!

When placing a bid, you will recieve a confirmation email of your amount.  If you are outbid, you will receive an email informing you of this, too.

NOTE: You do not need to be a Sigma Nu to participate in this auction.

If you are not interested in participating in our auction, would you consider making a gift to our Foundation:
